Eversince coming to Melbourne I've been all but oblivious to the happenings back in good ol' Malaysia. However my ears and eyes did catch wind of the interesting things, like Mahathir chewing out Badawi over a bridge, people getting struck by lightning, gothic kids being skewered by the media and so on so forth.

But anyway, the point of this post is to inform that come tomorrow I'll be collaborating with Juufan in creating a merdeka blog entry that'll win hopefully the internetz. :D Some of you might know what i'm yammering about, most of you probably won't. But i promise that it'll be so full of crack that your brain will break. I know mine will.

Full story tomorrow, after i hopefully take care of the fuckers. Seriously, no matter how wonderful their lecturers are the fact remains that the higher ups are a bunch of buffoons. Oh the anger. =_=

Okay, for those who don't already know, here's the story in a nutshell.

1. I come to Melbourne with a 1st year offer.
2. I appeal at RMIT for an exemption into 3rd year.
3. After a short meeting, i am given the option by BOTH of the Creative Media faculty heads to choose between enrolling in first year OR third year. They would have slotted me into 2nd year given the chance, but that was full.
4. SO I CHOOSE THIRD YEAR LA.
5. After that I'm instructed to fill in the change of enrolment form, then attend classes normally.

HAH. ALL SMOOTH YOU THINK? YAH RIGHT.

I've been filling and giving in FOUR of those bloody forms throughout the entire semester and everytime i never get my status updated. This resulted in a serious muck up, ultimately resulting in me not recieving my results for the 1st semester. Apparently the creative media administration had not gotten anything from RMIT international (where i filled out the forms), so i personally went to RMIT International to sort things out. After much discussion and taking a peek at my student file, there was a photocopy of the change of enrolment form that i had filled in, with the words Advised by David Barlas (he's the Creative Media admin) and TRANSMISSION OK.

And it was OKed on the 8th of April. So what does that tell me? It tells me that he paperwork looks fine, but it's just not relected in the RMIT database. Not my fault right? I just selected one of the options they gave me, and followed through with the procedures,so why so fucked up la? So i demanded that they followed up ASAP, and once they did it became a juggling act of shoving the responsibility to and fro between the CM admin and RMIT international. -_-

And yours truly is at the bottom of the food chain, unable to do anything. Wunderbar.

To add salt to the wound, the CM faculty heads that previously VERY VERY CLEARLY stated that it was my choice to choose between 1st and 3rd year are now saying that i was actually granted first year, but i made the 'mistake' of enrolling myself in third year. So now, they have to go sorting through oodles of paperwork for my sake. Fucking hell, I REMEMBER the exact words that came out of your mouth you cretin. Those were the words i mulled and agonized on the whole night to reach a decision, hell i even have the BLOG ENTRY FOR IT.

But geez, what would i know right? I'm just another simple international student with subpar english paying through my nose to get one of your stupid paper certs.

This thing will be ongoing for a very long time i reckon. Till then, i know not of what will become of my results, or my status as a third year student. It's like dangling from a thin wire that's about to break. I hate this.

I shall take this opportunity to say that jeans fresh from the dryer are the absolute BOMB. *__* especially when the temperature varies between 5 - 6 degrees celcius outside. Bah. hate the cold. However, uni is over and the holidays are just beginning so expect more updates from now on! unless bf starts grumbling that i spend too much time online rather than with him *shame.

List of things i'm planning to do during the month long holiday:

1. Go snowborading and skiing, and hopefully not fuck up a limb or two seeing as this is my first time doing a winter sport.
2. Get back to painting, probably watercolor and pen because that's the one i can say i'm...fairly good at. Howeve acrylic is a nice choice too....Sorryla after seeing the ample supplies of art stuff they have for sale here i tergoda to start painting again.
3. Make some papercraft and send it to some random lucky person. :D I realise if i had no incentive like such fueling the process, the pepakura will turn into crap. :(
4. Head on over to Bridge Road in West Richmond for some serious shopping. It's an entire area of warehouses, cafes and shops yo!
5. Start putting my AE skills to use and create some AMVs. For the longest time i've seen YouTube teeming with them and every now and then i'll see typography and timing that grates on my nerves. ;p So what better way to put myself at ease than to try it myself eh? And also the very very slim chances of them being applicable to my portfolio...hm.
6. Obviously spend some quality time with BFJin. We've been so out of sync lately despite living under the same roof that it's gotten pretty sad. So it's time to start all over again.
7. Sell the ferrets. No just kidding.

ok going out for dinner now in Chinatown. Jin's classmate Jeanie/Jane is spending a few nights with us before heading off to Gold Coast. Film student from Perth yo. And she could tell us the exact cameras that were used during the World Cup match, more accurately the one with the lonngg tiang placed at at each goal. How cool is that?? .\m/

Shit. It's like MMPS all over again. Only this time, yours truly so pandai want to do 2D animation. -_-
